Legaspi
Pastries is a small business that provides you with all your sweet
indulgences. It is a business that started five years ago based on one
individual’s great love for sweets and pastries. They provide their clients
with a variety of choices from custom made cakes to cupcakes, cookies, and
various pastries. No matter what the occasion, they will be there to provide
you with the best customer service. Legaspi Pastries works hard to cater to all
your needs and wants to insure customer satisfaction.
Leslie-Ann Legaspi is not only the
Pastry Chef of Legaspi Pastries but also the sole owner of the business. She
simply started her business because she had a huge love for sweets and pastries
and wanted to share it with the world. She is a hard working individual that
truly loves what she does. Leslie-Ann is a professionally trained pastry chef and
a graduate of the well-known French Culinary Institute of New York City. Even
though she was trained in French pastries she tends to incorporate some Asian
influences in her desserts. Not only did she have the culinary background in
her education before entering culinary school, she firstly graduated with a Business
Administration degree as an Administration major from Red River College. She
started off her career making custom cakes from home and working as a baker at
Stella's Café. Eventually as time
passed, she became the first dessert manager for Stella's Bakery. She has much
experience working in bakeries and restaurants throughout Winnipeg. She also
worked as a baker at Dessert Sinsation, a well-known cafe located in downtown
Winnipeg. It was there that she
was able to grow and practice her true love for sugar work and custom cakes.
After awhile she felt like it was not the place for her so she then moved to a
bakery that was closer to home called Goodies Bake Shop. This was a place that she
felt she could call home. Goodies allowed her to do what she loved to do:
decorate cakes and just be able to work around desserts. It was a place where
she could expand her knowledge and learn about desserts other than French
pastries.
